British High Commissioner enstooled queen mother of Gbese

Harriet Thompson, the British High Commissioner to Ghana, has been installed as the Gbese Development Queen Mother in Accra.

The stool name for Madam Thompson is Naa Okaitso Mnalimi I.

His Majesty Nii Ayi-Bonti II, Gbese Mantse, and Adonten of the Ga people enstooled her.

Officials from the British High Commission, elders from the Gbese Stool, and some queen mothers were present to observe the colorful ritual.

In series of tweets, she shared photos from the ceremony as she expresses appreciation to the people of Gbese.

She also mentioned the Thompson family from Ghana, who were also there.

Madam Thompson remarked that her enstoolment is a potent symbol of the close ties between Ghana and the UK, their shared values, and their shared commitment to the magnificent nation’s prosperity and stability.
